Makaylah Rogers is a passionate advocate, speaker, and facilitator dedicated to mental health awareness, fostering empathy-driven action, and creating a culture of Understanding.
As a queer, non-binary individual, Makaylah draws from their personal experiences and journey, leaving behind a history of trauma and abuse upon moving to Canada in 2016. Their own healing path, supported by several years of therapy, fuels their determination to amplify the voices of those who feel unheard.
Makaylah firmly believes in the power of representation and the transformative impact of the message, "you're not alone."
Their advocacy work spans vital topics such as anxiety & depression, mental illness,
neurodiversity, LGBTQ+ education, suicide prevention, sexual violence and more. By
breaking stigma and fostering open conversations, Makaylah envisions a world where
everyone feels a sense of belonging and safety.
As a social impact entrepreneur, Makaylah co-owns two businesses with their wife, Fia-Lynn Crandall (she/her). With Scale Naturally, they work with mission-driven businesses
and organizations, taking a holistic “Inside Out” approach to leadership development.
Using their proprietary profiling tool, Natural Design, they empower executives, leaders,
and teams to unlock their unique strengths and full potential. Makaylah is passionate
about consulting with executives and teams to prioritize their mental health and well-being as they strive to do good in the world.
Additionally, their business Frankie D's Donuts is on a mission to reduce loneliness… one
Donut at a time. Their made-from-scratch Donuts serve as a conduit for connection
among people, emphasizing the importance of community and fostering meaningful
connections.
Residing in Alberta's breathtaking mountains with their partner and playful Labradoodle,
Lady Frankie, Makaylah finds joy in rock climbing, hot chocolate, paddle boarding, and
sitting by the riverside. They also love a Sunday on the couch with snacks, binge-watching a TV Series!
“I worked with Makaylah on a complex systems change initiative. They are an inspiring entrepreneur, social innovator, community developer, facilitator, and speaker, blending all their talents to create safe spaces where people feel seen, heard, understood and valued. I'd welcome any opportunity to tap into their talents again”
